The doors to the Room 6 corridor got a beautiful makeover recently in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
It started as an idea from Ms Gorman on recognising that the corridor was already painted in the colours of the Ukrainian flag. All the religion teachers worked with their classes to colour in the sunflowers. The sunflower is a symbol of optimism and happiness and is the national flower of Ukraine. 3rd and 5th year students then helped Ms Gorman to put them up and create the beautiful display.
Chanel students and staff have been helping on a practical level too. There was an overwhelming response to the appeal for donations of vital products to help families in Ukraine. Mr Fahy and Mr Greene made sure that all the donations were delivered to the local collection point to be shipped off to Ukraine.
