In Senior Cycle, students take three core subjects listed below and then get to choose four optional subjects that are best suited to their aptitudes, interests and ambitions for the future.

In Chanel College students have plenty of choice to enable them to make the right decisions for their future. Our curriculum is constantly evolving to meet the needs and interests of our students and we have introduced a number of new subjects in the last few years.  Students are supported in their decisions along the way by our Guidance Counsellor, Mr Woods.

Students typically take 7 exam based subjects for the Leaving Certificate. They continue to engage in Physical Education, Religious Education and Social, Personal & Health Education to guarantee their overall wellbeing and a healthy and balanced educational experience.
