Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions we were not able to hold our annual Open Night in Chanel College this year. As a result, Mr Gill engaged the services a videographer to compile a video featuring students, teachers and parents to tell our wonderful story instead.
On the 1st October, Dave equipped with camera and tripod, spent the day at Chanel visiting a host of departments from Technology, Art, Languages, Business and P.E. etc. Lots of students volunteered to present and talk about their favourite subject and they really were to be commended for how confidently and naturally they spoke in front of the camera. We may even have spotted a few budding actors in the Spanish and French Department!
Debbie Doyle and Sharon McElroy gave very positive testimonials and messages from the Parents Association.
Dave took some excellent footage of our new purpose-built, state of the art Technology and Art rooms and of students using the facilities in Parnell's in particular to showcase the fantastic sporting facilities that we have access to here in Chanel.
Well done to all involved, but particularly to Ms Cahill for leading this project and doing lots of work behind the scenes to make sure it was such a success. This resulting video tells our story and gives prospective students and parents an insight into the fantastic work that occurs in Chanel on a daily basis! See for yourself...
