CHANEL COLLEGE CLOSE OUT 2022 WITH ANOTHER WIN IN THE LEAGUE
Chanel College 5 - St Fintan’s High School 2
The Chanel College u19’s Football team had a solid 5-2 win against St Fintan’s High School in Parnell’s on Tuesday. The win has earned them a Quarter Final spot in the North Dublin League after Christmas.
The first half saw Chanel create numerous chances to score goals as they began to get the upper hand in the game. Goals from Jamie Keating on 35 minutes and Aaron Hughes after 40 minutes gave Chanel a deserved lead at half-time.
Just five minutes after the break TJ Tighe extended the lead to 3-0. Despite conceding a score on 60 minutes. Chanel consolidated their grip on the game with further goals from Sean Byrne (70) and Aaron Hughes (75) thereafter.
In the final few minutes of the game, St. Fintan’s scored once more to leave the game at 5-2.
Well done to all the team who will be looking to go further in the competition in New Year.
