Mr. Gill, teachers, prefects and parents celebrated with the 1st Years on Wednesday 24th October in St Brendan's church as they completed their first term in Chanel College.

The theme for the occasion was Community and Friendship.

Fr. O'Gara along with Christian and Ryan gave wonderful speeches on how important our friends are in our lives today and how Jesus also needed his friends, the disciples.

Each of the Form classes created and displayed beautiful original symbols to represent the talents an...

Our u15’s soccer team had a comfortable home victory on Monday 21st October against St Declan’s of Cabra. After a shaky start St Declan’s took the lead, but the Chanel lads didn’t let that faze them. They hit back instantly with great pressing from Sean Gorman and Alex Lynch at full back to allow Niks Balmaks to score from a resulting corner.

On Wednesday 9th October, 6th year students with the help of the Chaplaincy Team organised a hugely successful coffee morning to raise funds for a Hope Garden in honour of friends and family members of our students and staff.

The volume and selection of delicious cakes was amazing, to the extent that some were still being consumed in the staff canteen on Friday morning!

Congratulations and thanks to all who took part.

Thanks to the Glencree Centre and Mr Rafter for facilitating and the ever busy Chaplaincy Team for organising.

School Management decided to hold off and review the situation hourly. We struggled through the first few classes, hoping for a break in the rain. A decision was made to go after small break on a shortened route through Raheny village. As the first runners were led out by Ms Heron it still looked ominous, but thankfully the ski...
