North Dublin Double!

There were huge celebrations on Friday 6th March at the North Dublin Metropolitan League Finals and history was made when two Chanel teams won their finals in thrilling games. First the u19s took to the pitch under the stewardship of coaches Sheridan and McManus to beat a very strong St Aidan's side. It is was a tense game all the way through with both teams holding out 3-3 till close to the end. Thankfully Chanel got their chances to take the game 6-3 at the final whistle to be crowned North Dublin Metropolitan League u19 Champions. Lámh training for Chanel Staff

Twelve Chanel staff received their Level 1 Lámh Module certificate on Wednesday 4th January. Lámh is a manual sign system used by children and adults with intellectual disability and communication needs in Ireland. Communication is a right.

u14 North Dublin Metro League Champions

Chanel College 3 (Dayne 2, Fogarty) Portmarnock 0 Chanel U-14s produced a cup final performance to claim their first silver of the year at Stella Maris Friday. Playing into a stiff breeze, Chanel were indebted to their super keeper Jude McKenna for three top class saves in the first half alone. Slowly, the Chanel defence marshalled by Connolly got on top of the tall and pacy Portmarnock attack. Callum Dunne dominated the centre forward with his physical presence. Reece Moloney was very dependable at left full and Callum Tate was probably the pick of the defenders with his composure and gritty defensive work. The u19s squad proudly round off an amazing year. Not only are they Leinster Champions, they now add the North Dublin Metro League Champions to their titles! The stuff of Legends!
