Annual sponsored walk in sunshine

The annual sponsored walk took place in glorious sunshine on Friday 28th September. Students and teaching staff alike took on the 10 kilometres, along Tonlegee Road, Springdale Road and down Watermill Road onto Clontarf Road. From here, they had a lovely stroll along the coast road before the long climb back up Vernon Road and Brookwood Avenue towards the school. Many availed of the coast wall to have a little rest or took a breather at the Wooden Bridge crossing. A great number of runners turned out, led down the school avenue by Mr McGonigle, Ms Heron, Ms Bradley, Ms O’ Brien, Mr Sheridan and Mr Greene. Competition was tight, especially up the difficult Vernon Hill climb. The top 3 places

Class 2.2 enjoy a retreat to Glendalough

Class 2.2 enjoyed a retreat to Glendalough on Thursday 27th September. The lads and their accompanying teachers, Mr Greene and Mr O’Driscoll spent a lovely day, hiking up to the waterfall and dipping their feet in the “refreshing” waters. As they strolled along the beautiful leafy paths in autumnal sunshine, there was fun, banter and camaraderie and plenty of opportunities for individual quiet time and personal reflection too. Overall it was a very enjoyable and fulfilling day for everybody. Photo courtesy of Kevin Liu 2.2 Photo courtesy of Kevin Liu 2.2
